The Agip Estate residents want the management of the Niger Delta Development Commission to call the contractor handling the project to order.
The residents who embarked on a demonstration earlier today claimed that the contractor was building two feet drainage instead of four, which they alleged to be the original specification.
The protesters accused the construction firm of unleashing security operatives on them whenever they tried to draw attention to the standard of work that was being done.
The leader of the protesters, RAPHE WOKONU told our correspondent that they decided to raised alarm because of the implication of the shallow drainage, which could cause flooding when it rains.
Our correspondent is making effort to get a reaction from the construction company handling the Agip Estate project.
