LAWAL is alleged breached due process and the code of conduct for public officials in the award of a controversial two hundred and twenty million naira contract for grass-cutting by the Presidential Initiative on the North East.
Reports say LAWAL faced questioning before the Presidential Investigative Panel, headed by Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO, which lasted all through the night.
The Presidential Investigative Panel also includes the Attorney-General of the Federation, ABUBAKAR MALAMI and the National Security Adviser, BABAGANA MUNGUNO.
The is also investigating the equally suspended Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, AYO OKE, over his claim that the agency owns the sum of thirteen billion naira in local and foreign currencies that was recovered from a luxury apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos.
