PETERSIDE particularly raised question about Governor WIKE’s decision to all his special advisers and the caretaker chairmen of four local government councils who had barely spent three weeks in office, all within a space of four days.
The APC chieftain said while it is the prerogative of the Governor to appoint his aides, his actions, including the recent sack of all his commissioners for allegedly not being loyal, show signs of a despot that appears confused and afraid of people around him.
The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency said Governor WIKE was playing with the dignity and sense of belonging of Rivers men and women, who deserve to be respected and honoured.
DAKUKU PETERSIDE accused the governor of deliberately hiding the budget of Rivers State to stop people from challenging him and subjecting his policies to scrutiny.
According to a statement by the DAP Media Team, PETERSIDE noted that civil servants in the state and retirees were being owed for several months.
