The Rivers State House of Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the full implementation of constituency projects nominated by lawmakers in the state budget to address the needs and aspirations of the people.
Speaker of the Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, stated this in Kula during the commissioning and handover of constituency projects executed by the lawmaker representing Akuku-Toru Constituency Two, Lolo Isaiah Opuende.
The commissioning came a day after Opuende distributed 210 laptop computers and provided internet facilities for students across the six communities in Akuku-Toru Constituency Two in Abonnema.
The projects commissioned include a standard police station in Kula Community and teachers’ quarters comprising five units of one-bedroom apartments in Freetown, a satellite community in Kula Kingdom.
Represented by the Deputy Speaker, Dumle Maol, Amaewhule commended Opuende for prioritising the pressing needs of his constituents.
He said the Assembly would continue to support initiatives that promote development and improve the living conditions of residents across the state.
