During the ceremony, President BUHARI also entertained a telephone briefing by one of the commanders of the military onslaught against Boko Haram insurgents from the battled frontlines.The 15th of January every year is set aside by the Nigerian Government to pay tributes to men and officers of the Nigerian Armed Forces for their sacrifice in ensuring the protection of the territorial integrity of the nation.State Governments are also expected to organize parallel events in all thirty-six states of the federation.
