Justice VALENTINE ASHI’s judgment faulted the process through which SHERIFF emerged as PDP National Chairman, which was the 2014 Amendment of the PDP Constitution.
According to the amendment, which has now been nullified by the Court; the PDP purportedly zoned the office of its National Chairman to the North-East Geopolitical zone.
You will recall that former PDP National Chairman, ADAMU MUAZU resigned in 2015 following the party’s loss in the presidential election to pave way for the emergence of ALI MODU SHERIFF as Interim Chairman.
