Justice OLUKAYODE ADENIYI granted the request by FAROUK LAWAN to enable him travel to Saudi Arabia for the Muslim pilgrimage.
In his ruling; Justice ADENIYI approved the release of the document as the complainant did not oppose to the application.
The Judge therefore ordered the Senior Registrar of the FCT High to release the passport to LAWAN on the condition that he reports back to the country on or before the 30th of September.
He is also to deposit the passport with the court registrar in line with the conditions for his bail.
You will recall that FAROUK LAWAN is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for allegedly accepting five hundred thousand dollars bribe from FEMI OTEDOLA.
The bribe was allegedly offered to LAWAN by the oil magnate in a bid to remove the name of his company, Zenon Petroleum from the list of those indicted in the subsidy scam investigation in 2012.
