A security consultant, Captain UMAR ALIYU, is advocating the redesigning of markets to check incessant bomb attacks by terrorists Captain ALIYU was responding to questions on a television programme that reviewed the twin bomb explosion at a major mobile phone market in the northern city of Kano. ALIYU said markets should be build in a way that will make it possible for people to be monitored, as well as provide sufficient exit points in case of emergencies. Captain ALIYU also observed that the approach by the Nigerian security agencies to terrorist attacks in reactionary.
At least nineteen people are now known to have died in the Kano twin bomb attack on Wednesday.
