A Port Harcourt Magistrate Court has remanded APC Chieftain and former Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government council in Rivers State, OJUKAYE FLAG-AMACHREE in custody.

OJUKAYE was arrested by the police on Monday, interrogated yesterday and arraigned in less than forty-eight hours over alleged murder and felony.He is accused by the police of the murder of one SMART SOBEREKON in Buguma; the headquarter town of Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
The defence lawyer, KEN ATSWETE argued that the case should be struck out, as the Magistrate Court lacked the jurisdiction to hear such matter.But the Prosecution suggested that the court should remand the accused person in police custody pending the conclusion of investigation.
