A face-off between lecturers at the University of Benin and the Edo State Government is threatening to suck in the entire academic staff of universities within the Port Harcourt Zone of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.This is because the Port Harcourt Zonal Coordinator of ASUU, Professor BEKE TUBOUKIYE SESE has made known the intention of the union to go to court to seek justice for its members whose houses were demolished by the Edo State Government.Professor BEKE TUBOUKIYE SESE questioned the decision by Governor ADAMS OSHIOMOLE to pull down structures of the University of Benin, which were still being occupied by members of staff.Professor SESE also criticized Governor OSHIOMOLE for failing to fulfill his promise to compensate those who suffered losses in the demolition exercise.Professor BEKE TUBOUKIYE SESE is the Coordinator of Port Harcourt Zone of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.
