A Court in the United Kingdom has convicted a Nigerian immigrant couple for slavery and cruelty that lasted for twenty-four years. The Harrow Crown Court gave the judgment in a case brought by one OFONIME SUNDAY INUK against EMMANUEL and ANTAN EDET. INUK, who is now forty-years-old had told the Court that he was made to look after the home and children of the medical doctor and his wife who is a nurse after he was moved from Nigeria to the UK in 1989. The couple had denied the charges, and is due to be sentenced today.
