A Brazilian mayor who allegedly ran her office through WhatsApp mobile application, has been accused of diverting funds meant for the school system.
Prosecutors said twenty-five-year-old LIDIANE LEITE lived a life of luxury in the capital of Maranhao state. It is alleged that LEITE’s only contact with Bom Jardim town she presides over is through daily WhatsApp messages to her cabinet. An arrest warrant has been issued against her and her boyfriend, who served as her main adviser. However; LEITE’s lawyer said she was not aware of any wrongdoing.
