A bill for a law to provide for the administration of criminal justice in Rivers State has passed first reading in the House of Assembly.
Our correspondent reports that the Rivers State Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015 seeks to repeal the Cap 38 of the Criminal Proceeding Law of Rivers State.
The bill was introduced by the House Leader, MARTINS AMAEHULE.The Speaker of the House, IKUNYI IGBANI approved the first reading of the bill by the Clerk after the introduction by the House Leader.
Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Rivers State House of Assembly thereafter adjourned sitting to the first of September.
