The Independent Petroleum Marketers of Nigeria, IPMAN, says moves are being made to end the fuel scarcity being experienced in Rivers state. Caretaker Chairman of the Port Harcourt Unit of IPMAN, SUNNY NKPE said this while briefing newsmen after an inaugural meeting of the Caretaker Committee of the association in Port Harcourt. SUNNY NKPE said IPMAN is partnering with the Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR to provide twenty trucks of fuel for major filling stations in Rivers state. The IPMAN Chairman who decried the cause of the scarcity in Rivers state said the Marketers are willing to sell products at regulated prices but for the challenges in the sector. Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the leadership of IPMAN appealed to the general public to remain patient while the Federal Government sort all the issues with the Private Depot owners.
