The chieftaincy dispute that divided the people of Rumuodumaya community in Alakahia-Akpor, in Obio-Akpor has been settled after more than three years.
Consequently, Chief HARRISON EJIMELE OGBONDA WOGU has been installed as the Owhor Holder and Eze Rumuodumaya of Alakahia-Akpor.
One of the community leaders, Chief LIVINUS AZUNDA ANELE told our correspondent that the matter was settled by the Choba Customary Court, leading to the immediate installation of the new Owhor Rumuodumaya on Monday.
Chief ANELE recalled that the dispute started following the death of Chief MORGAN ANELE WOGU who held the position of Eze Rumuodumaya until his death in 2011.
Also speaking; the General Secretary of Rumuodumaya community, JULIUS WOGU ANYAWULE called on all members of the community to join hands with the newly installed chief to make progress.
The Rumuodumaya representatives advised the rival contender to the chieftaincy position to stop parading himself as the chief of the community.
