The suspended parliamentarians are all members of the United Party for National Development, UPND, which has been locked in a dispute with President LUNGU over his victory in elections last year.
The parliamentary speaker PATRICK MATIBINI challenged the opposition members to resign on moral grounds if they would not recognise that there is a legitimately elected government in the country.
