Senate assent Federal Competition, Consumer Protection Bill to promote fair, efficient and competitive markets.

The bill also facilitates access of all citizens to safe products and guarantees the protection of rights of all consumers in Nigeria.?

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the bill was read for the third time and passed by the Senate after the adoption of a report of the Senate Committee on Trade and Investment.

The report was presented by the Chairman of the committee, Senator FATIMA RAJI-RASAKI of Ekiti Central, in plenary with the Deputy Senate President, IKE EKWEREMADU presiding.
