Spokesman of the six Division of the Nigerian Army, Colonel AMINU ILYASU in a statement sent to our newsdesk recalled that the army complied with the rules of engagement when it overwhelmed the alleged violent protest of the group in Port Harcourt that January 20.
Colonel ILYASU stressed that no soldier fired any shot at the protesters.
He further warned a so-called spokesman of IPOB, EMMA POWERFUL to stop peddling false allegations against the army that it killed IPOB members during the protest in Port Harcourt.
The army however called for the continued support of Nigerians as they carry out their operations in the sole interest of the general public.
