Governor NYESOM WIKE signed the Appropriation Act of Four Hundred and Seventy Billion Naira, with a promise to accelerate development in the state.
The State Appropriation; which Governor WIKE tagged “Golden Jubilee Budget”, sets aside Three Hundred And Twenty-Nine Billion Naira, which represents seventy percent of the total sum, for Capital Expenditure.
The sum of One Hundred and Forty-One Billion Naira is also proposed for Recurrent Expenditure of the State Government.
In his remarks; Governor WIKE thanked the State House of Assembly for the speedy passage of the budget, as well as for always putting the interest f the state above other considerations.
He promised to ensure diligent implementation of the budget in line with the tenets of his New Rivers Vision.
