Following the development; the Lagos State Government is to appeal against the discharge and acquittal of the main suspect, Major HAMZA AL-MUSTAPHA.
You will recall that AL-MUSTAPHA was a former Chief Security Officer to the late Military Head of State, General SANI ABACHA when KUDIRAT ABIOLA was killed.
He was accused of complicity in the murder of KUDIRAT, at a time she was leading the struggle for the actualization of the presidential mandate of his husband, which was annulled by former Military President, General IBRAHIM BABANGIDA.
