This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of an extraordinary general meeting of the UPTH chapter of the Association of Resident Doctors.
The Branch President of the association Doctor MIKE ACHOR said despite numerous attempts to resolve the crisis, the UPTH management has neglected all suggestions made by the stakeholders.
ACHOR said the association will continue to adopt all measures within the confines of the law to press home its demands.
Meanwhile; the Chief Medical Director of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Professor AARON OJULE has said the management does not owe any staff of the hospital.
OJULE said the management cannot implement the demands of the Resident Doctors when the federal government has not issued a directive to that effect.
He claimed that the Resident Doctors are on strike because of what he described as skipping.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that the UPTH branch of the Association of Resident Doctors has been on strike since the 3rd of August.
