The Organized Security Peace and Advisory Committee, OSPAC, has reiterated that it is an apolitical security outfit and is not affiliated with any political party in Rivers State.
The OSPAC Public Relations Officer, Egbo Godknows Nkem, stated this while speaking to Today FM, stressing that the organization was established to protect residents irrespective of their political affiliations.
Nkem said OSPAC would not allow itself to be used to intimidate, harass or target members or supporters of any political party in the state.
According to him, the committee’s priority is to promote peace and security across Rivers State, with its activities focused on protecting lives and property.
The OSPAC spokesman reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to working in the interest of peace and the security of communities across the state.
Nkem also clarified that Felix Nwaobokata is the current General Commander of OSPAC.
He appealed to media organizations to stop referring to former General Commander, Emeka Onyeocha, as the leader of the security outfit, insisting that Nwaobokata currently occupies the position.
