Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, says his participation in the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York is aimed at exploring global partnerships and attracting investments to the state.
Fubara said he would use the international platform to engage potential investors, particularly in the oil and gas sector, where Rivers has significant resources.
He expressed optimism that engagements with global investors could unlock the state’s oil and gas potential and create new economic opportunities.
Fubara is part of the Nigerian delegation led by Vice President Kashim Shettima to the UN General Assembly, with the high-level debate scheduled for September 22 to 28, 2026.
