A human rights activist, Charles Jaja, says Nigerians are longing for a true leader who can restore the country’s lost status as the “Giant of Africa.”
Jaja made the comment while reacting to remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump on the killings of Christians in Nigeria. According to him, Trump’s statement describing Nigeria as a disgraceful country should not be dismissed as an insult, but rather seen as a wake-up call for authorities to address insecurity and governance challenges.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to demonstrate the same level of commitment and urgency he showed while criticizing former President Goodluck Jonathan over the Boko Haram crisis, stressing that Nigerians expect decisive action to rescue the nation from its current state.
