Governor Siminalayi Fubara has declared that governance in Rivers State has been fully reactivated, with major stalled projects across the local government areas now back on track.
The Governor made this known on Thursday during a meeting with traditional rulers held at the Government House, Port Harcourt, aimed at acquainting them with the return of normal governance following the period of emergency rule in the state.
Governor Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to peace, stability, and accelerated development across the state. He also announced plans to fulfill pending promises to the traditional institution, including the provision of official vehicles and other welfare benefits to enhance their roles in community leadership.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and Paramount Ruler of Apara Kingdom, Eze Chike Worlu Wodo, reflected on the challenges faced during the emergency rule and expressed gratitude to God for the restoration of normalcy.
He commended Governor Fubara for the maturity, courage, and restraint he demonstrated during the difficult period, noting that his leadership has helped restore calm and confidence among the people of Rivers State.
