The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has referred the petition filed by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) against Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, popularly known as Kwam 1, to the Police Command at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Force Public Relations Officer Muyiwa Adejobi confirmed on Tuesday that the petition was in response to an incident on August 5, 2025, when the singer allegedly attempted to block a moving ValueJet aircraft at the Abuja airport.
The act has sparked widespread public outrage, with several Nigerians demanding Kwam 1’s arrest and prosecution over what they described as a dangerous and reckless display.
