President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has temporarily handed over affairs of the Federal Government to Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO.
President BUHARI is embarking on a short vacation from today, and Vice President OSINBAJO will take charge of the government until Wednesday next week.The development was confirmed in a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA.
According to the statement; the decision to handover temporarily to the Vice President is in compliance with Section 145 of the Nigerian Constitution.
It noted that President BUHARI has also dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
