The groups also demanded for the engagement of trained ad-hoc staff in the electoral process and that the election results of March, 11 2023 should be transmitted at the polling units through BVAS machines as promised.
The Project Coordinator of Homeland Awareness and Sensitization Initiative, Charles Inko-Taria, who read out the position of the groups in Port Harcourt, requested that international election observers should have more focus on Rivers State and that there should be Security presence to checkmate the excesses of power drunk politicians.
Inko-Taria also accused INEC of deliberately causing the network problem and failure to provide password codes for the BVAS to operate, including switching off the server and substituting originally trained ad-hoc Staff and RAC staff, few hours to elections as directed by their paymaster.
Inko-Taria while condemning what they described as incompetence and lack of integrity on the part of INEC to conduct free and fair elections particularly in Rivers State, threatened that if nothing is done to improve the situation, the group will do everything within the law to sustain the call.
