Opposition groups in Syria have agreed in principle to go into peace talks with the government under the leadership of BASHA AL-ASSAD.
This was contained in a statement from a meeting of politicians from the various groups opposed to President ASSAD, who held a meeting in Saudi Arabia.
Reuters reports that the statement called for a new pluralistic regime that represents all sectors in Syria, stressing that President ASSAD and his aides could play no part in any transitional period.
