The Federal Government has affirmed that the Nigerian Military are gaining grounds over the Boko Haram insurgents.
The Government is also hopeful that the military will eventually destroy the Islamist militant group and secure all of Nigeria’s territory by the end of this month.The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji LAI MOHAMMED gave this indication while addressing a news conference in Abuja.
He said winning the war against insurgency is about sufficiently degrading the capacity of the insurgents for action, which he said the military has done
substantially.The Information Minister also drew attention to the plight of Internally Displaced Persons in the North-East.
He called on critical stakeholders, including the media, to step up sensitization of Nigerians on security consciousness.
