Aggrieved members of the People Democratic Party in Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers state have sealed the council secretariat in protest. Our correspondent gathered that the protesters tied rafia leaf around the perimeter fence of the council secretariat, denying access to workers. One of the youth who confirmed the development to our correspondent, alleged that the action was against the appointment of DAGOGO ELALE JACK as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the council. Our source said the aggrieved youth are not happy that Governor NYESOM WIKE would appoint a man they consider to be old for the position of council chairman. Our correspondent gathered that the youths threatened to continue with the protest until the appointment of the CTC chairman is reversed.
