Police said the overcrowded boat was carrying some forty-five people when it capsized on Lake Albert in Uganda.
The team from Buliisa District was on its way to a Christmas day football match in Hoima District.
The Police continued by saying the boat became unbalanced when too many passengers moved to one side, adding that fifteen of the passengers have been rescued.
