The impersonating medical practitioners comprising two male posing as Doctors and a female who claimed to be a Nurse, were arrested following a tip-off by Head of Medical Personnel in the Local Government.
The suspects identified as Gift Harvest, who claim to be an Auxiliary Nurse, Doctor Patrick Effiong who claimed to be an unqualified Health Assistant and Williams Biranwi, who claim to be an Auxiliary Nurse.
When Today FM contacted, the Chairman of Andoni Local Government Council, Erastus Charles-Awortu confirmed the development, disclosing that the suspects were on illegal medical mission to Andoni without proof of qualifications.
Charles-Awortu further revealed that the medical quacks had even performed surgeries on some unsuspecting victims before they were caught, just as he condemned the act saying that the three suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation with a view to uncovering their true intention.
Charles-Awortu also called on the people of Andoni to be vigilant as criminals seeking to exploit the unsuspecting public can go to any length including endangering the lives of people to achieve their illegitimate and awful intentions.
