The accident occurred when the bus went off the road and into the Marera river gorge in Karatu district.
Director of the Lucky Vincent Primary School, INNOCENT MUSHI who described the incident as a huge tragedy said the dead included twelve boys and seventeen girls.
He said three survivors were pulled from the crash site by rescuers and rushed to hospital.
