The Deputy Senate Leader, Senator BALA IBN NA’ALLAH raised the issue when he drew the attention of his colleagues to what he considered to be anomaly by the agencies.
In his intervention; the Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI, expressed displeasure over the failure by government agencies to submit their 2017 budget to the National Assembly.
Senator SARAKI also condemned the practice where agencies of government spend money without approval by the National Assembly.
The Senate President said the issue would be put to debate during plenary today, after which a resolution would be taken.
Addressing newsmen after the plenary session, the Senate spokesman, SABI ABDULLAH said the National Assembly decided to bring the anomalies to the attention of Nigerians to ensure transparency and good governance.
