2015 Rivers Labour Party Guber Candidate,Tonye Princewill declares support for APC.

PRINCEWILL has also charged his 2015 running mate, KEN SARONWIYO, to oversee a ten-man on the smooth transition of his supporters to the APC.

TONYE PRINCEWILL said he decided to pick side with former governor and Minister of Transportation, ROTIMI AMAECHI, having observed the raging battle with Governor NYESOM WIKE.

In a statement circulated through electronic mail, PRINCEWILL said he took the decision following his recent resignation from the Labour Party.

PRINCEWILL said the decision was relatively easy to make, adding that he had since advised all his supporters, associate, disgruntled PDP sympathizers and dissatisfied youths of the state to go and register with the APC and work hard under the new and improved direction of the party.

According to the Kalabari Prince, the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State is for the old school and analog politicians who have been in charge since 1999.

He noted that the PDP’s top hierarchy is too heavy and has no vacancy for young fresh faces to grow, adding that he does not belong there, just as all other youths.

Although TONYE PRINCEWILL commended Governor WIKE for trying his best and doing good in some areas, but he said the Governor’s best was not good enough.

PRINCEWILL noted that if projects execution could feed the poor and reduce the rate of unemployment, it would have been better.
