HAO AIJUN, LIU YANGXI and OBI ANTHONY CHIBUZO are facing fifteen counts of criminal conspiracy, forgery and illegal transfer of funds to the tune of two point five billion naira.
But the defendants pleaded not guilty to all the amended charges filed by the Inspector General of Police, on behalf of the Federal Government.
Following the development, the defence lawyer, AKINLOLU KEHINDE, informed the court of an application for the bail of his client, but the prosecution counsel, DAVID IGHODO, asked the court to remand the defendants in prison custody pending their trial.
However; Justice NNAMDI DIMGBA granted the defendants bail in the sum of one hundred million naira each, with two sureties in like sum.
The defendants are also to deposit their international passports with the court and must not travel out of the country without the permission of the court.
