The incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday when the attackers were said to have stormed the community while the residents were still asleep.
Victims include an elderly visually impaired woman who was reportedly burnt to death inside her room while over thirty houses and properties were also burnt in the attack.
According to a statement by the Kaduna State Commissioner for internal security and Home Affairs, troops of the Nigerian Air Force Special Forces who responded to distress calls from the area also fell into an ambush as they were mobilized to the scene of the attack.
