The state NLC Chairman, BEATRICE ITUBO had last week raised concerns over the delay by the state government in the remittance of its share of the contributory pension fund to the pension fund administrators. However the factional Chairman of the NLC, WILLIAMS ADAH said Rivers workers have rejected the contributory pension scheme and have made their stance known to governor NYESOM WIKE.
WILLIAMS ADAH also acknowledged the government directive to workers occupying official quarters to vacate their houses to enable the renovation of the quarters. He however noted that the Union will resist any action of the government that is inimical to workers in Rivers state. That was the factional Chairman of the NLC in Rivers State, WILLIAMS ADAH.
