The Rivers APC observed that Governor WIKE was still going about with his style of campaign, which it said is full of bare-faced lies and misrepresentation of facts to unsuspecting Rivers people.
The APC’s criticism is against the backdrop of Governor WIKE claim that his predecessor and Minister of Transportation, ROTIMI AMAECHI was receiving between twenty-seven and thirty billion naira monthly federal allocation.
Governor WIKE purportedly noted that the Federal Government has cut the allocation for Rivers State under his administration in an attempt to sabotage his government.
But the Rivers APC dismissed Governor WIKE’s claim as untruth, adding that at the time ROTIMI AMAECHI left office as Governor, Rivers State was receiving monthly allocation of less than ten billion naira.
State Publicity Secretary of APC, CHRIS FINEBONE, said if Governor WIKE is receiving less than ten billion naira monthly allocations today, he is in part responsible for the fate of Rivers.
According to the APC spokesman, Governor WIKE encouraged the Jonathan Administration to take away Rivers oil wells when he was serving as a minister while ROTIMI AMAECHI was the State Governor.
The APC also questioned Governor WIKE’s motive in concealing the state government’s budgets since he assumed office, as well as his silence on the fourteen point five billion naira Paris Club Loan Refund from the Buhari administration.
