WIKE spoke shortly after the state government signed contracts for the Trans -Kalabari Road project phase one, and the Saakpenwa-Bori -Kono Road project phase two at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
A statement signed by the governor’s Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, said the governor accused Tamuno of writing to the construction giant, Julius Berger, to stop work in the entire state without his approval.
According to the statement, Governor Wike wondered where the sacked commissioner derived powers to issue such directive without getting clearance from the governor.
