Nigerian forward Victor Orakpo has joined Turkish Super Lig club Gençlerbirliği on loan from French side OGC Nice.
The 20-year-old striker’s loan deal runs until the end of the season and includes an option for Gençlerbirliği to make the transfer permanent.
Orakpo joined Nice in January 2024 and has made five appearances for the French club’s first team.
He spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan in Ligue 2, first with Montpellier and later with Nancy, as he sought regular senior football.
The move to Turkey represents another opportunity for the Nigerian youngster to continue his development and establish himself in first-team football.
