Vice President, Prof YEMI OSINBAJO maintains his Stand that Restructuring Nigeria May Not Be Needed Now

Professor OSINBAJO had suggested that instead of restructuring, diversification would address much of the challenges confronting the country.

The Vice President has been widely criticized for the comment, but he maintains that the calls for restructuring tend to further divide Nigeria as a nation.

The Professor at Law said once fundamental issues such as the rule of law and fiscal discipline are entrenched in the system, much of the problems in Nigeria would have been taken solved.

Professor OSINBAJO who was speaking on a radio program monitored from Port Harcourt, said structure in itself is meaningless without entrenched principles upon which societies are maintained.

The Vice President also made reference to the Niger Delta where he observed that although so much money has been pumped into the region, there was nothing to show.

He said if the issue of corruption is not tackled, people will still run way with all the money even in a restructured system.

That was Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor YEMI OSINBAJO.
