FALANA in a statement urged President BUHARI to stop members of his family from using the aircraft within the presidential fleet.
He noted that the official policy of the federal government does not authorize the children of the President to use the presidential jets to attend to private social functions.
The Human Rights lawyer added that there is no precedent whatsoever for such privatization of the presidency of Nigeria.
FALANA also said at the inception of his government, President BUHARI had promised to reduce the cost of maintaining aircraft in the presidential fleet, which according to him, stands at eight point five billion Naira in the 2020 budget.
