The measures include a ban against electronic devices from cabin baggage on flights from eight mainly Middle East and North African countries.

The BBC quoted US government source saying the measures would affect nine airlines operating out of ten airports in Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco and Qatar.

Under the new restrictions; large electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, cameras, DVD players and electronic games, would not be allowed in the cabin baggage compartment of airlines flying connecting the affected countries.

The Department of Homeland Security is expected to make an announcement on development today.

This latest move to restrict travels to the United States comes after two executive orders by President DONALD TRUMP to restrict migrants from predominantly Muslim countries were put on hold through court injunctions.
