The University of Port Harcourt has commenced a legacy tour of major infrastructure projects completed during the five-year administration of its Ninth Vice-Chancellor, Professor Owunari Georgewill.
The tour forms part of activities marking the end of Professor Georgewill’s tenure and featured visits to completed and ongoing projects across the university.
Facilities inspected included the School of Graduate Studies Building, NPDC Hostel, Department of Philosophy Building, NIMASA House, the CRAB Building, the Solar Farm, the Pharmacology Building, and the New Convocation Arena.
Speaking during the tour, Professor Georgewill paid tribute to the late Professor Andrew Efemini, describing him as an outstanding scholar whose contributions significantly advanced the institution.
Members of the university community praised the outgoing vice-chancellor for his commitment to infrastructural development and institutional growth.
