The Vice Chancellor, Professor NDOWA LAALE dragged the Governing Council to court seeking a protective injunction, after he was suspended by the council for incompetence in managing the affairs of the university.

When the matter came up for consideration today; all the parties who were represented in court asked for time to resolve the matter amicably.

The Presiding Judge said the decision is in pursuant to section 43 of the Federal High Court Act, which gives room for out-of-court settlement.

Justice MAKHMUD LIMA thereafter adjourned the matter to 27th of June for report of the settlement.

Outside the courtroom, counsel to UNIPORT Pro-Chancellor, ONOME OKODIYA said the court’s directive would be explored.
