Nigerian winger Tunde Akinsola has completed a move to Belgian Pro League side Cercle Brugge from Portuguese club AVS Futebol SAD.
The 23-year-old has signed a contract that will keep him at Cercle Brugge until June 2030, with an option for an additional year.
Akinsola, who can operate on either flank, is expected to strengthen the Belgian club’s attacking options with his pace, explosiveness and one-on-one ability.
Cercle Brugge Technical Director, Luciano Murchio, described Akinsola as a dangerous player in the final third and in transition, adding that his versatility would provide the team with additional attacking options.
Akinsola began his football career in Nigeria with Valiant FC before moving to Swedish side Vasalund at the age of 17.
He later joined Spanish club Real Valladolid in 2022 and made his La Liga debut against Sevilla the following year.
The winger joined AVS Futebol SAD on loan in 2024 before making the move permanent later that year. He subsequently established himself as one of the Portuguese club’s standout performers.
