TRUMP was reported to have informed Russian Foreign Minister SERGEI LAVROV about a shared material that was passed on by a US partner, which had not given permission.
The exchange reportedly happened when the Russian official paid a visit to President TRUMP at White House last week.
But TRUMP said he has absolute right to share information with Russia, adding that he shared facts pertaining to terrorism and airline safety.
The US President said he wanted Russia to do more against so-called Islamic State.
