Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne has expressed excitement after completing her move to Italian Serie A Women side Inter Milan, describing the transfer as an important new chapter in her career.
The Nigeria international joined the Nerazzurri on a two-year deal from English Women’s Super League club Everton after spending two seasons with the Merseyside outfit.
Payne said she is delighted to join a club with a rich history and is eager to test herself in the highly competitive Italian league. She also expressed confidence that her pace, dribbling ability and crossing skills will help her make a positive impact at Inter Milan.
The 31-year-old added that she is looking forward to helping the club compete for major honours as she begins the next phase of her professional career.
